God's Chisel

Nakaka-encourage ito...

...I know I need to be always reminded of this.

(ps. medyo nahihilig ako sa mga video clips lately ah. *wink*)

No one else will do!

This was part of my prayer early this morning:

"I want to just hug You and be hugged by You... all the time!
No one else will do...
No one else will satisfy...
The more I think about You, the more I am wanting You!
I love You, Lord and I'm so sorry for all the things I've done against You..."

I am still on my vulnerable moment. Please continue to pray with me and for me. God is good and in control!

Ang hirap! (hehe)

Trials and Temptations

2Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 4Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. 5If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. 6But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; 8he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does.

9The brother in humble circumstances ought to take pride in his high position. 10But the one who is rich should take pride in his low position, because he will pass away like a wild flower. 11For the sun rises with scorching heat and withers the plant; its blossom falls and its beauty is destroyed. In the same way, the rich man will fade away even while he goes about his business.

12Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.

13When tempted, no one should say, "God is tempting me." For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; 14but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed. 15Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.

16Don't be deceived, my dear brothers. 17Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. 18He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created.

I have mentioned before that our Growth/Bible study group (Connect Agents' of Change or C.A.C.) is going through a series study on the Letter of James. I lead the group in studying verses 2-4 last September 5, 2009 and verses 13-18 last October 17... And I have been telling them that I am experiencing trials and temptations myself (well, lahat naman tayo diba?) and I am having a tough time. Sobrang first hand application sa mga lesson namin ang pinagdadaanan ko. But He remains faithful, nakikita ko ang work Nya and He really is up to something... that I know for sure.

In the mean time, please include me in your prayers... Thanks and God bless!

(PS... I will share some personal notes on our series study some other time. Very interesting ang Bible study namin ever! Feel free to join us every Saturday 6pm at GCF Ortigas.)

An old one

But this made me cry... Back when I first read it and today when I read it again...

(I don't know why pero bigla ko na lang naisip na maghalungkat ng mga lumang email).

A part of Mama's email to me - Thursday, 13 January, 2005 7:19 PM

"I'm glad though that I can share my thoughts with you.
(I just don't know if you can fully understand how I
feel.) I thank the Lord for your life and pray that
you will do all you can to seek the Lord so that He
will make your life productive...just as He promised.

There may be things that we don't understand, things
that we don't like to happen to us; yet they're
happening. All these are not hidden from the Lord. I
am confident that He has a higher purpose for allowing
us to go through all of the difficulties we are

Remember I may love you but the Lord loves you more
and He is able to do so much more than I can ever do
or imagine.

From Thess (co-blogger)

I've been following her blog for quite some time now. At ngayon ko lang narealize na wala pa pala akong post nya na naipo-promote dito. Hehe.

So here's one: Is Someone Obsessed With you?.

At oo nga, gaya ng sabi nya-- may mga ilang statements na exaggerated pero nangyayari naman tlga.

I remember tuloy what JESUS said:

Simply let your 'Yes' be 'Yes,' and your 'No,' 'No'; anything beyond this comes from the evil one. -Matthew 5:3

Kahit ano pa ang mangyari...

Indeed, He gives and takes away!
But my heart will choose to say, Lord, blessed by Your name! Ü

Singing it over and over

...again and again!

I know I posted it here already pero gusto ko pa rin sya i-re-post. I want to be always reminded of HIS grace... His grace that is more than sufficient! Naiiyak, nahu-humble at nao-overwhelm ako sa message ng song...

My faithful Father, enduring Friend
Your tender mercy’s like a river with no end
It overwhelms me, covers my sin
Each time I come into Your presence
I stand in wonder once again

Your grace still amazes me
Your love is still a mystery
Each day I fall on my knees
Your grace still amazes me
‘Cause Your grace still amazes me

Oh, patient Saviour, You make me whole
You are the Author and the Healer of my soul
What can I give You, Lord, what can I say
I know there’s no way to repay You
Only to offer You my praise

It’s deeper, it’s wider
It’s stronger, it’s higher
It’s deeper it’s wider
It’s stronger, it’s higher
than anything my eyes can see

cry baby mowd

Ayun, so naiinis lang ako sa sarili ko at sa mga kapalpakan ko.

It's that time of the year again... and I soooo hate it!!!

(bakit kasi ganito ang initial reaction ko sa mga multiple failed audits...? Though I admit that this is one area that God is dealing me with. See this related post from last year.)

But then again, I know I need to apply this...

 2My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;

3Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.

4But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. (James 1:2-4, King James Version)

and this...

20For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God. (James 1:20, King James Version)

So much of our GG's "Walk The Talk" series... Advance lesson and first hand ang application ko...

So help me God!

(Ayun, gusto ko lang ilabas sama ng loob ko...)

tsk, tsk, tsk

Hindi talaga lahat ng "development" ay nakakabuti. Nakakalungkot.

"THE government was warned 32 years ago that ceding control of urban development may have adverse consequences, such as the devastation experienced by the metropolis on Saturday..."

Click here to read the article. Thanks to Kuya Lester Ordan who shared this in our egroup.

Let's continue praying na makaahon na lahat ng nasalanta ni Ondoy and pray na sana mas maging handa na tayo since may paparating na namang bagyo (Pepeng).
