My Buzz Group Members

Looking at these pictures the other night made me cry... because I miss them! I just realized that even with the 4-day youth camp, bitin pala ang time namin together! And so I'm really praying I could spend more time with these girls, not just only inside our youth growth group meeting every week but also more one-on-one dates with them!

L-R: Cure, Janine, myself, Iris, Arielle and Shane

I lovingly forced them to do my signature pose! Hahaha! :D

Here holding our commitment banner. Mine says "#FaithfullyConsistent."

I can't believe may mga bago akong minamahal sa buhay through them!

I pray that God would find me faithful in walking along side them as they grow in spiritual maturity and Christ-likeness. They are just like a breath of fresh air for me! Mga bata na pampawala ng stress!

Love you girls! :)

My heart failed yet He is faithful

(I wrote this last week, Friday... full of emotions.
I didn't have Internet connection then so it's just now that I'm able to share it in here.
I pray that beyond my brokenness and emo mode, what you will see is God's love and grace...)

"The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure..." -Jeremiah 17:9

Indeed this verse is so true!

For a long time now (and for the record I do not know when exactly this started) I didn't notice that I have been "nursing" a sin in my heart. I've been holding grudges towards someone and it's taken its toll on me and affected the state of my heart big time!

I haven't been able to enjoy my quiet time like I used to because of this. I knew at the back of my mind and have already felt that there was something wrong (in my heart) but I just shrugged it off and didn't address it right away and so... Whenever I think about the person, whenever I see the person, when over I hear from that person I always gets annoyed. And yeah, I always sin. :(

But God in His faithfulness, as always, knows what is best for me. He knew it needed to be addressed and that I needed to be freed from the sin that calloused my heart... For this week, I have been on my "bratinella" mode especially in the office. I have found myself being my "old self" again-- irate, reklamadora, looking down on others, being prideful and selfish and all that stuff! And He made sure that I got aware of it so I approached Him in my quiet time yesterday and asked for cleansing from it all... I felt "OK" afterwards but then, right after my qt, I failed again... In my heart I hated another person... I was like "what the heck is happening to me?!" then I just went on with my day... Work mode even though I was really distracted. My distraction didn't left until I was on my way home I found myself praying to God "Lord, this needs to be addressed!"

So I arrived home... After doing some chores, I locked myself in my room so I can "wrestle with God."

He lead me to read Psalm 24:3-4 and it says:

"Who may ascend to the hill of the Lord?
Who may stand in His holy place?
He who has clean hands and a pure heart"

I've read that verse before. I've gone through it in my previous qts... But then, even though this verse is not new to me, God spoke to me clearly. He dealt with me and pointed out how unclean my hands were and how impure my heart is before Him for a long time now... He didn't stop there... I didn't stop from there either... He led me more to Himself in repentance as I read more passages: Psalm 26:2-6; Psalm 51:10; Ezekiel 18:31 and so on...

When I prayed earlier what I was actually thinking was how to "fix" my attitude towards the person.  But I am not God, I am not the one who is in control and I'm glad that's the way it is... Where He led me now is exactly what I need. I need to repent from my sin, I need to rid myself from all the offenses that I have committed in my heart, I need to be (once again) broken before Him so I can deal with the attitude of my heart towards the person...

I failed God big time! I sinned and I have been nursing this sin for a long time... But I praise Him for what He did to me tonight...

Allow me to share an excerpt from my journal, my cry to God:

"Yes Lord... I want to have a pure heart before You... I have offended You ng paulit-ulit and I ask for forgiveness... Help me Lord... Cleanse me, purify me and make my heart right before You. Ayaw ko na pong maging masama, bitter, and holding these grudges... I want to be free Lord... I don't want to sin anymore..."

After those words, I wept. I haven't wept that way for a long time now. I was mourning. I broke His heart and I'm such a failure! But then He is really faithful, He sees how broken I am so He once again picked me up by His grace, His mercy and His love, He picked me up! He did this so to give me another chance, to make things right, to sin less and less and to just press on with my eyes fixed on Him and not on people.

Through the Holy Spirit, I know I can do the things He want me to do... To forgive them, just love them and have compassion on them and to keep in mind that everything works for my good because I belong to Him!

As I concluded with my wrestling with the Lord... I told and asked Him these:

"Thank You for still loving me dear God (insert here tears again. Hehe)... Lead me to love You back in my obedience, worship and devotion to You. Take me back on the right track again..."

I praise Him for who He is in my life... Indeed, without Him I am nothing...

Thank You Father, Son and Holy Spirit!

(So now, totoo na ito... Sleep na ako! Just wanted to share that! Good night!)

Spa Date

Spent a time of relaxation with my dear Raymarie at Excelsior Spa yesterday in Robinson's Galleria.

We enjoyed it ng soooobra! Thank God for His provision that we were able to enjoy our time together...

I personally, really love spa! I always go to Excelsior because I am satisfied with their service. I love the fact that they have a sauna bath, shower and locker area and then the massage, is just right! Sulit naman for Php450.00 (Friday to Sunday) and Php400.00 (Monday to Thursday).  Perfect for girls bonding moment!

This was my first time to treat someone I'm discipling ng ganito... Usually kasi eat out lang! Hehe. I'm glad she enjoyed it as much as I did! And she told me she needed that, so sakto pala!

So here are our very few photos to share with you:

Raymarie with her locker key... #3 ba yan or #34? lol

My jacket

I was given this jacket at work because of my five year tenure. Hehe. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy with this... and kahit naman walang kahit ano ang ibigay sa akin ang employer ko I'm still good. The fact that I belong to this company (for five years and counting) is a big blessing from the Lord na!

Anyway, just a quick post... How do you like my jacket? :p

Personalized syempre... pero gusto pa ring hiramin ng sister ko regardless! lol

Proud to be here in JPMC!

Do I look happy or what? Hahaha!
So, how are you doing friends?

Sorry if I've been too busy updating this blog. I wanted to write/share something about how the Lord's been working in my life and a "holy week" related post sana kaso kulang oras ko sa ngayon... :(

'Til next na lang! God bless!

...thanks again to my bro Sai for taking my vanity photos! :p

Meet Ace

John and I met with our missionary friend, Ace Pendon, last night. We had dinner at Rai-Rai Ken, and we shared how the Lord's been working in our lives... It was a fun night! Even after a tiring day (for John and myself since we just came from a whole day affair in GCF-Connect), it was still worth to extend our stay in Ortigas to minister and be ministered by this guy.

Everyone, meet Ace:

Kunyari di nya alam na kinukunan ko sya. Hehe!

Super daming laugh trip moment namin!

Look at John, sleepy look na! Hehe!

Praise God for you Bro! :)
Thanks to Raya for taking our photos. :)

Grace To You

Listening to John Mac Arthur's sermon's been keeping me company for the past three nights and I've been learning a lot. I really thank God for the internet!

So far, I've listened to four sermons:
Most recent

Listened to this because this is our Bible study passage tonight. :)

You too can listen to his sermon, just visit www.gty.org and look for the latest sermons uploaded.

I also read this wonderful article about How to Enjoy Bible Study.  He said there, and I quote--

"we submit to Scripture and let it transform our lives. If you skip this step, you will never enjoy your Bible study and the Bible will never change your life.

Bible study is not optional in the Christian life. It is both the obligation and the privilege of all believers. If you are not involved in regular, systematic Bible study, you are missing one of the primary means God uses to bring us to maturity (1 Peter 2:2)."

I couldn't agree more! You can read the whole article by clicking the title.

Ayun lang, share lang! ;-)

Shared our blessings!

Just a quick post on how my Sunday went...

GCF-Connect peeps with the (soon-to-be) GCF Southmetro Call Center Ministry. :)

Kuya Abe, Jem and myself were invited by my mentor, Teacher Carol Felipe to share our testimonies in GCF-Southmetro (Las Piñas) as they held a Call Center lunch fellowship.  We share how GCF-Connect started, how we grew in numbers, what were the challenges that we faced, how God worked in our individual spiritual lives, and how He allowed us to grow from one Growth Group to eight (as to date)! We really praise God for the privilege! Very humbling experience...

Our prayer is that the Lord will speak to the hearts of the people whom He prepared in advance to be a Call Center Agents for Christ. We are prayerfully looking forward for GCF Connect-South to be officially launched!

More photos in our facebook account. :)

Mah Ladies!

I consider being a discipler (mentor) as one of my greatest blessing. I never imagined that God would give me the desire, enable and move me to look after these ladies in their walk with the Lord.

Seriously, there are still times that I feel so unworthy to be called their discipler. But the grace of God is indeed sufficient! With the help of the Holy Spirit, I am able to do what God wants me to do in this ministry opportunity that He has given me... That for me is just overwhelming!

And so now, allow me to introduce to you these wonderful ladies that God has entrusted me to disciple and journey with...

The is Olive.
The last time I met with her was October last yr.
Her desire is to desire what God wants for her.
She has grown a lot since we started 3 yrs ago! And I praise God for her!

This is Elise.
I miss her so much! The last time I met with her was June last yr. :(
But I'm happy as she is now happily married to Lance and they are expecting their baby girl in a couple of months!
I kind of like consider her a "daughter" and she calls me "Mommah" in return. :)

This is Ann.
The last time I met with her was in October last yr also.
I see myself a lot in her. I'm not sure if I told her that but that's true! Hehe.
The Lord also led her to become a GG leader and a discipler. Praise God for her life! :)
This Carmie.
We just met last week, the day before Valentine's day. :)
She is like a souls sister to me... because our birth dates are just one day apart! Hehe!
When we started it took a while for us to realize that what we were doing was discipleship.
She is a blessing to me, a great source of encouragement.

This is Jem.
If I remember it right, the last time we met was November last yr.
Sya ang pinaka-makulit at super hyper sa lahat! Hahaha!
I love her so much she is like a baby sister to me!
God's teaching me a lot through her.

This is Donna.
I think it was also in November 2011 when we last met for discipleship
Weird girl but weird good! She is in love with the Lord! ;-)
Lately, we've kind of been doing a semi-discipleship through SMS.
Haha! Thanks to technology!

This is Raymarie.
We met early this month, February 2.
I thought that it wasn't God's will for us to go on the journey together but then, I thought wrong pala! Hehe!
She is a young leader. Very mature magisip and her desire is to just please the Lord in every areas of her life.
This is Fhang.
We met two weeks ago.
I have nothing but good words about this lady... Her child-like faith is just inspiring!
I am reaping what was sown to her and I praise and thank the Lord for that!

They are like my treasure! I really really love them... I just hope they feel it. Hehe. May mga times kasi na ilan sa kanila ang nasusungitan ko. Haha! Not that I hate them nor I'm mad at them it's just that I desire and I always pray for them to grow more inlove with and obedient to the Lord, and that they will just walk faithfully and persevere no matter what... Basta, alam ni Lord kung ano ang heart ko for them all. :)

Now, I suddenly miss them all! Anu ba yan! I'm hoping and praying to meet with them again soon, especially those whom I haven't met for a long time...

Thank You Lord, for these ladies...
They don't know how much they mean to me and how much they are contributing to my spiritual growth as well... I pray that You will continue to lead them to You and only to You!
For your glory to be manifested in their lives and for the furtherance of Your kingdom! Amen.

Because it's raining, let it snow!

Anu daw? Hahaha! Wala lang! Naisip ko lang yung title na yun kasi nga umuulan at ang ipo-post ko ay mga pictures sa Snow Village ng Manila Ocean park.

I just realized kasi na when I posted our trip last year hindi ko pala naisama tong set ng photos na ito. These were taken from my cellphone. I didn't risk using my DSLR kasi nga sobrang lamig!

We enjoyed it kahit mabilis lang. Puro picture taking lang ginawa namin.

Here goes:

Group picture minus myself

and now minus John. :)

Sama ng tingin mo love ah! :p

Brrr! Lamiiig!

Woooh! Sarap! Natutulala na lang ako! lol

Cute couple

Now it's my turn and naka-nganga na naman ako! Anu ba yan!

And here's John-liit again... trying his best to look like he ain't freezing! lols

The place. Maliit lang naman sya. Well, sakto lang!

Para bang ibang bansa? Pwede ano?

Namiss ko tuloy ang Ocean Park! At grabe talaga, when I fist saw those pictures naloka ako when I saw na lahat ng pictures ko halos eh naka-open mouth ako! Bwahaha! I really don't why... Maybe because it was so cold!

Anyway, I hope you're having a good rainy Monday! :)

The Grand Weaver and Crazy love

Just few of my "with eternal value" possessions. :)

I started reading Ravi Zacharias’ book “The Grand Weaver” last year, if I’m not mistaken since August pa. Hehe. Anong petsa na and until now, hindi ko pa rin sya tapos… Hehehe. When it comes to reading books delinquent talaga ako. Ewan ko ba, gusto ko kasi sila namnamin at kaya madalas, hindi ako nagmamadali sa mga binabasa ko.

Last Christmas, I received three books as gift from friends (see: Loved) and I told myself that I won’t read them not until I finish what I’m reading.

But then today, I brought with me Francis Chan’s “Crazy Love” na super tagal ko nang gustong basahin… Basasahin ko na sya! As in gustong gusto ko na talaga kaya hindi na ako nakapag-pigil. Hehe.

I opened the first few pages and sa dedication pa lang nya naiyak na ako. He said:

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your grace. Your forgiveness is SO good that I struggle with believing it at times. Thank You for rescuing me from myself and giving me Your Holy Spirit. Your love is better than life.

Really brought me to tears! And boy, it got me so excited to be reading this book! :)

Pero sana, matapos ko na rin yung kay Ravi Zacharias! Hehehe!

Thank God it's Friday!

The Lord is good and His love endures forever!

I don’t feel pretty but I feel so blessed!

Hahaha! May ganun?! :p

Well, I don’t feel pretty because I still am wearing no makeup [foundation and concealer to be exact] due to some kind of rashes/dryness that I have in my face and so I’m letting it breathe for a while (Check Booo! from my photo-blog).

But yeah, I feel so blessed today… Well since last night I’ve already been ecstatic and overjoyed—I along with few members of my second GG (See Connect-Taguig) met for a dinner fellowship and then just a couple of hours ago, I had my first ever discipleship for the year! Oh yeah! How I miss having these kinds of date!

Sobrang nakaka-bless! And because of that, I would like to believe I still look okay [pretty] despite wearing no makeup! Bwahahaha! :)

Hope you’re having a good Thursday!

The Lord is good and His love endures forever! :)

Disclaimer: Joke lang yung I dont feel pretty not wearing makeup ha? I know naman na hindi outer appearance ang important.  The word of God said—Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and wearing gold jewelry and fine clothes. Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight. – 1 Peter 3:3-4

New flats!

Sa wakas, nakabili na rin ako ng new shoes... I thank God for His provision! I got extra money to spare from my sweldo so I was able to buy these cute flats from The Little Things She Needs:

When John saw these, akala nya wine! Hahaha!

Flats #1

Flats #2

I shall use one of you tomorrow when I get back to work! Yey!

Salamat din kay Laureen Uy na sobrang magaling mag-promote, sa kanya ko nalaman ito at talagang na-curious ako sa brand na ito.

Good thing meron nito sa Robinson's Galeria. Bought these yesterday before going to church. Only P1,199.00 two pairs. If you buy only one pair that would cost you P699. Ayun wala lang, share lang! Hehe.

Why God doesn't want His people to worry

For the last two weeks, I had the privilege of studying Matthew 6:25-34 and I taught a lesson I entitled "Why God doesn't want His people to worry" in Connect Agents' of Change GG on January 21st and 28th.  It was a challenging study time as the passage was VERY VERY RICH but I thank the Lord for His grace is indeed sufficient and His wisdom is just amazing!

Now let me share the gist of what I learned about the passage...

The word worry pertains to being distracted from things to the point that it causes us (believers) to lose focus in God and to not have that attitude of worship in everything that we do (same as in Luke 10:40-41).

The passage was addressed to believers as it states- "your heavenly Father" (Matthew 6:26) and "O you of little faith!" (Matthew 6:30).  Not everyone can call Him Father, only those who have a personal and intimate relationship with Him through Christ Jesus (John 1:12) and then Jesus didn't say "O you of NO faith" but rather "little." Who are those whom have genuine faith in Him but those who belong to Him right?

God's children shouldn't worry because God is their Father, He knows what they need even before they ask Him (Matthew 6:8), God the Father being the Creator of all things provides for His creation (Matthew 5:45) how much more to His children? God's children shouldn't worry about basic things needed with the arrogant attitude as if God wouldn't be able to provide it, because in the first place He already gave up His best (Romans 8:32) what else can He not give to us? God's children shouldn't worry because it shows that they do not trust God enough and lack of trust in God is sin! And God calls His children to continually seek His kingdom (Romans 14:17) and his righteousness (Romans 3:9-24) rather than worry!

To just ponder on the passage- Matthew 6:25-34- gives encouragement to me! It's mind blowing to realize and learn of the things I learned from this passage and I really thank the Lord for allowing me to study this, for guiding me and opening my heart to His truths, and for giving me the opportunity to apply it even before I teach it to our growth group.

Praise His name! To Him be all the glory!

Btw, here are my GG members and attendees that night:

L-R: John, Kuya Anthon, Jane (John's Sis-inlaw), Mama Edith (John's mom)
